We really wanted to see a game of Kok Boru, not because a headless goat being tossed around is much fun but rather because it’s a wild tradition they’ve kept for many years and we couldn’t pass up the change on seeing that. Lucky for us, we were able to see the game and many more Kyrgyz traditions all in one day.

I don’t remember the name of this place… all I know is it was somewhere southwest of Issyk Kul lake. A tourist told us about the festival the day before.
